The Very Rev. Randi Hicks Rowe & Husband Tom

We would like to share with you the information that we have received on Rev. Randi:

New Address:        9 Cedar St., Lockport, NY  14094

I am very excited to be coming to St. John's to be your priest.  My husband and I are native Virginians, growing up in Richmond, Virginia.  I discerned the call to be a priest in midlife and served many parishes as a Christian education director before being ordained.  Before that, I was a journalist, a Fortune 500 executive, a promotions manager for a nonprofit and a communications consultant.  I have a degree in communications from Virginia Commonwealth University and an MBA from the College of William and Mary.  I also have a degree from Virginia Theological Seminary.  I am an avid reader and a doll collector.

Tom has been a journalist for his entire career and has worked for many newspapers and periodicals, including the Washington Post.  He has a degree in journalism from Washington and Lee University.  He collects baseball cards and memorabilia.

We both enjoy baseball and are really looking forward to watching Buffalo Bisons games.  We also enjoy walking our little dog, Trixie.

Tom's daughter (and my stepdaughter), Megan Rowe lives in Charlottesville, VA where she does social media marketing for the University of Virginia.

Rev. Steve Lane

Hi! I’m Steve Lane and I am excited to be joining you at St. Andrew’s and St. John’s. I am honored and grateful that Rev. Randi and you all have agreed to have me join you as I transition towards the priesthood. I will be serving as a priest in training and while I am an ordained deacon, my focus will be on priestly roles. This is an exciting time at St. Andrew’s and St. John’s and I’m thrilled to be here with you as you look toward the future. My primary objective while I am with you is to learn all the different ways that a parish priest serves a congregation. I expect to be involved in many different aspects of your congregational life and I would love your feedback as I join in your community.

On a personal note, I am married with three children and three grandchildren; all of whom live here in Western New York. I own a pet store in Williamsville, called Steve’s Wonderful World of Pets which my wife and I started in 1991. I love animals and have several dogs at home that we consider part of the  family. I live with my wife and two of the three children in downtown Buffalo. I was raised in the Episcopal church and my father was an Episcopal priest. I have a long history of singing and while I won’t be joining your choir, I am happy to have heard that you have a great choir!
